About Bucerius Kunst Forum

Bucerius Kunst Forum is an exhibition house in the heart of Hamburg. Instead of a permanent collection, it presents focused temporary exhibitions on individual artists, whole eras or special themes – always asking what art means for our lives today.

Founded in 2002 by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius (today ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS), the Forum is known for its scholarly approach and striking exhibition design. Alongside the shows, it runs guided tours, talks, concerts and family formats, so there's always a way to get closer to the art.

When to Visit Bucerius Kunst Forum

Daily: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday (late opening): 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Good to know: The shop keeps the same hours as the exhibition. On Mondays from 5–7 PM you can join a Silent Stroll through the exhibition in quiet mode, and on Fridays from 5–7 PM a Sound Stroll with live music. Tuesday is the best-value day, with reduced admission for all visitors (except on public holidays).

U-Bahn: The U3 stops at Rathaus, just a couple of minutes' walk away. The U1, U2 and U4 stop at Jungfernstieg.

Bus: Metrobus lines 3, 4, 5, 19 and 105 stop at Rathausmarkt, right by the Forum.

Arriving by long-distance train? Get off at Hauptbahnhof or Dammtor and change to the U-Bahn or S-Bahn.
